Honest Nonsense is not going to watch Donald Trump's State of the Union address, because there is no value in watching it. We know he's going to do fear, fear, hate rhetoric, and that we need a wall to protect us from the hordes of brown people fleeing corruption and violence in Latin America.
"Tremendous numbers of people are coming up through Mexico in the hopes of flooding our Southern Border," Trump tweeted this morning. "We have sent additional military. We will build a Human Wall if necessary." I don't know what a human wall is, maybe he meant "humane wall," but with Trump who fucking knows.
"If we had a real Wall, this would be a non-event!" Trump ended his tweet.
It's not just the wall that Donald Trump is planning to discuss during his address.
According to Politico, "President Donald Trump is telling conservative allies he wants to incorporate firm anti-abortion language into his State of the Union address Tuesday, and potentially include an anti-abortion figure among his list of invitees, according to four sources familiar with his plans."
Just what we need, a misogynist who can't have a wife without a face lift or fake tits is going to moralize to women why the government should have control over their own bodies.
The main reason Honest Nonsense isn't going to watch the SOTU address is due to the fact that Trump is going to be insulting our intelligence during his speech.
As The Wall Street Journal noted in a tweet, "Trump's expected call for bipartisanship contrasts with his recent assertions that bipartisan efforts on border security are a 'waste of time.'"
And one Democratic Congressman has already called Donald Trump out on this bipartisan bullshit, saying, "It doesn't work that way."
"You can't repeatedly trash Dems & then claim to be bipartisan for an hour during the SOTU," tweeted Rep. Ted Lieu. "It doesn't work that way."
Rep. Lieu also made sure to point out that Trump's cries that there is a crisis on the border is not based in reality, and that if Trump "really wants to be bipartisan, he needs to acknowledge facts."
That a fear-mongering white nationalist is going to call for bipartisanship action on something that isn't based on realty, not to mention the fact that he's incapable of being bipartisan, and the audacity to moralize about the female body is why Honest Nonsense has declared the SOTU address a complete waste of time. And we hope you do too....
