The last time we discussed Dave Rubin, we discussed how he supported Brazil's fascist president Jair Bolsonaro because he was against political correctness at school. The thing about Rubin though, he's a fucking moron who didn't know anything, so he has no idea that Bolsonaro is literally a fascist-homophobe (Rubin is Gay, and a fascist).
Dave Rubin likes to claim that he is a classic liberal, but it's just a bullshit label any typical right-winger uses to make themselves sound different from a right-winger, and the more Rubin talks the more he reveals he's not very liberal.
Tonight he tweeted about Democratic Congresswomen and Senators not really joining Trump in the idea of getting of late term abortions.
The Young Turks anchor, and former Rubin coworker first mocked him for taking Koch Brother money:
But then had to remind moron commenters about the realities of a late term abortion:
Like Ana said, late term abortions are done in order to save the pregnant woman's life. She is right to ask commenters in agreement with Rubin if they are monsters, and it's why the Democratic women didn't celebrate with Trump, the deaths of women having pregnancies go wrong is not something worthy of celebrating. Unless, you're a fucking monster.
But as Honest Nonsense wrote in a recent blog, the pro-life movement is not about being pro-life, but rather anti-woman. If you don't think so, what politician has proposed legislation that would require the man to stay either with the woman, or remain in the babies life if he were to get a woman pregnant?
In the end, if abortion is outlawed again, women will have to either keep the baby or perform a dangerous underground abortion, but the men will get to flee if they so choose.
What also makes Dave Rubin incredibly stupid is that he has no idea that he is making bed fellows with people who are not as pro-life as they like to promote, but is in fact joining political alliances with what journalist Chris Hedges has described as Christian fascists.
What Dave Rubin doesn't understand as a gay man is that the Christian rights war on secularism (something Rubin supposedly proclaims to support) won't end with abortion, because as Chris Hedges notes, "This is an ideology of death."
Chris Hedges explains further (underlined emphasis mine):
It promises that the secular, humanist society will be physically destroyed. The Ten Commandments will form the basis of our legal system. Creationism or "Intelligent Design" will be taught in public schools. People who are considered social deviants, including homosexuals, immigrants, secular humanists, feminists, Jews, Muslims, criminals and those dismissed as "nominal Christians"—meaning Christians who do not embrace the Christian right's perverted and heretical interpretation of the Bible—will be silenced, imprisoned or killed. The role of the federal government will be reduced to protecting property rights, "homeland" security and waging war. Church organizations will be funded and empowered by the government to run social-welfare agencies. The poor, condemned for sloth, indolence and sinfulness, will be denied government assistance. The death penalty will be expanded to include "moral crimes," including apostasy, blasphemy, sodomy and witchcraft, as well as abortion, which will be treated as murder. Women will be subordinate to men. Those who practice other faiths will become, at best, second-class citizens and eventually outcasts. The wars in the Middle East will be defined as religious crusades against Muslims. There will be no separation of church and state. The only legitimate voices will be "Christian." America will become an agent of God. Those who defy the "Christian" authorities will be branded as agents of Satan.
Dave Rubin in his complete and utter stupidity thinks that he's joining with some moral force for good, but in fact, is joining forces with a dark movement who only gains power by the day thanks to Donald Trump.
But I guess in order to get that Koch Brother money, Dave Rubin is fine with forcing the turning back of the clock for the LGBT community, never mind for women.....
