Many have used the analogy that Donald Trump is not the cause, but the symptom, the symptom being fascism and white nationalism.
Trump's speech at the Republican Jewish Committee is another reminder of Trump's racism, fascism, and ultimately his stupidity that puts him the class of historic leaders such as Nero, or Louis XVI (Louis' pink wig is a better look than the shit Trump has on his head).
Trump purposely brought up Congresswoman Ilhan Omar's name to rile up the crowd which rewarded him with booing (group thinking), and Trump saying, "I forgot, she doesn't like Israel."
She's also condemned Saudi Arabia, so you can also say she doesn't like Saudi Arabia, but we know that truth and facts are not Donald Trump's thing, because a fascist by definition is not engaged in reality-based thinking.
But as Vox's Aaron Rupar noted, he's attacking Omar on the same day that one of his supporters was charged for threatening to kill Omar.
A man named Pat Carlineo declared himself a Trump supporter, and Omar a terrorist.
According to the FBI's affidavit, "Carlineo stated that he was a patriot, he loves the president, and that he hates radical Muslims in our government."
Carlineo called Omar's office and "berated" one of Omar's staff members.
"Do you work for the Muslim Brotherhood?" asked Carlineo. "Why are you working for her, she's a fucking terrorist," he continued, "I'll put a bullet in her fucking skull."
Trump went on to talk about his dumb-evil son-in-law. "He's fighting for Israel," Trump told his audience. Adding that Kushner is the only one who can bring "peace to the Middle East."
Not only is Jared Kushner going to not bring "peace to the Middle East," Jared Kushner is going to in fact guarantee that there is going to be a nuclear war there one day, and that is not being hyperbolic without facts.
I"ll let journalist Chris Hedges explain:
The most dangerous foreign policy decision of the Trump administration—and I know this is saying a lot—is its decision to share sensitive nuclear technology with Saudi Arabia and authorize U.S. companies to build nuclear reactors in that country. I spent seven years in the Middle East. I covered the despotic, repressive kingdom as the Middle East bureau chief for The New York Times. And I, along with most Arabists in the United States, have little doubt that giving a nuclear capability to Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the ruthless and amoral Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman would see it embark on a nuclear weapons program and eventually share weaponized technology with Saudi allies and proxies that include an array of radical jihadists and mortal enemies of America. A nuclearized Saudi Arabia is a grave existential threat to the Middle East and ultimately the United States.
As Hedges notes, Saudi Arabia will build a nuclear bomb thanks to Trump's, "half-wit son-in-law."
Of course, it's worth noting that before helping Saudi Arabia, Trump pulled the United States out of the Iran nuclear deal. Trump's administration will not bring peace, but death.
Trump's racism and hatred for Muslims can't go without pointing out the fact that he was the face of the "birther movement" in which former president Barak Obama wasn't born in America, and a Muslim. Because not wanting your president to Muslim is totally not being racist. In fact, as in the case with Trump, it will be rewarded by America's conservatives.
Trump wants to know why Jews would support Obama:
I guess I can see why conservative Jews may not like Obama, he did point out that Jewish settlements will make it hard for their to be a two-state solution, after he was president.
Imagine your government, a foreign government, any government, bringing bulldozers to your home, demolishing it, and kicking you off your land? What kind of emotions of pain and hatred do you think you would feel? Hell, American conservatives nearly go insane with the idea that AR-15's should be banned. How do you think they would react to their land being taken from them? The rancher Cliven Bundy had an armed standoff because the freeloader didn't want to pay his fees for using public land for his cattle to graze.
If you're a Palestinian living the village of al-Araqib, you've seen your home demolished for the 142nd time.
The story of al-Araqib is why Palestinians participated in "The Great March of Return," in which Israel would ultimately kill over 200 Palestinians, and wound nearly 18,000 more. Not only did Israel murder and wound Palestinian protesters, but Israeli forces murdered and wounded Palestinian journalists who were in fact wearing vests that had "Press" written on them.
My criticism of Israel does not make me anti-Semitic, for I am not. In fact, I do believe that because of the history of anti-Semitism, culminating in the Holocaust, one of the most horrific events in human history, I believe Israel has the right to exist. But what Israel does not have the right to do, is to use the Holocaust as an excuse and reason for inflicting massive human suffering to the Palestinian people.
And on the subject of anti-Semitism, someone who is in fact anti-Semitic is Donald Trump's Vice President, Mike Pence. Pence is an evangelical, and like most evangelicals, Pence believes that Jews will take control of all of Israel, so that Jesus Christ can come back to earth for the end of days.
"For many conservative evangelicals, Jerusalem is not about politics," writes religious historian Diana Butler Bass. "It is not about peace plans or Palestinians or two-state solutions. It is about prophecy. About the Bible. And, most certainly, it is about the end-times."
Donald Trump wants to know why Jews supported Obama, but I'm confused as to why Jews would support Donald Trump? And even if Rep. Omar has said something anti-Semitic, it comes nothing close to the likes of people like Mike Pence.
At the end of the day, Rep. Omar is both strong and courageous, and Donald Trump is both craven and stupid.
