Plent of right-wingers have said awful shit about bomb threats towards prominent Democrats, so Fox News Gerald Rivera said, why not say some fucked up shit myself.
"At the risk of sounding like a far right-wing lunatic," was how Geraldo started off an answer when asked by Fox News Host Trish Regan what he thought about the bomb threats towards prominent Democrats. With that beginning, you knew his answer was going to be a shit one.
"I have to say that I believe that this whole thing was an elaborate hoax," Geraldo said. Adding, "I believe that those bombs were never intended to explode. I think those bombs were intended to further divide the American people."
Instead of saying that this "hoax" was done to intimidate opponents of Trump that he himself has declared them to be. Geraldo said it was, "someone who wanted to embarrass President Trump," but with the way in which Trump has been tweeting, he doesn't seemed to be at all embarrassed by the situation.
Geraldo asked for New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and the FBI to tell us what is going on. He said this on Fox News, a network that has promoted that Democrats are evil, and that the FBI is a part of the deep state.
To be fair to Trish Regan, she reminded Geraldo that we know they weren't meant to go off, but that the semantics were worthless, because the point of it was to give people a scare. Just as the fuck who sent Don Jr. a package full of white powder. The powder wasn't deadly, it didn't kill Don Jr., and although I hate the Trump's, that doesn't mean what was sent to him was fucked up any less.
Geraldo though, was not having none of that kind of shit.
"But this elaborate charade with Debbie Wassermann-Schultz, who put so boldly as the return, the return to sender, it's -- why do you do that? It seems so heavy-handed," Geraldo said. "And then going down the whole enemies list of Donald Trump as the recipients of these bogus devices, you know."
You're right Geraldo, you do sound like a right-wing lunatic.
