For a moment I forgot Newt Gingrich existed until he climbed up from Hell to go on Fox News.
There, he did what most do when they appear on that "news" channel: say crazy shit.
Gingrich compared what Kavanaugh was going through to the play 'The Crucible,' which was about the Salem Witchcraft trials.
Gingrich told Sean Hannity that the play "actually relates to what's happening to Judge Kavanaugh," because being accused of sexually assaulting someone is totally like being broken on the wheel.
But as someone on Twitter has pointed out, Brett Kavanaugh seems to be a victim of the monster he has created:

Never mind that he had allegedly called Hillary a "bitch," according to his own mother. But in his defense, he was only the Speaker of the House at the time when he said it.
