Jeff Bezos Being Jeff Bezos

Jeff Bezos is totally doing something that Jeff Bezos would totally do, and that is donating $10 million dollars to Republican Congressional Campaigns. As Splinter points out, “It is reflective of his absolute inability to spend money in a socially good way.” Splinter also mentions that with a net worth of $167 billion dollars, Bezos has not made “substantial financial commitments to charity.”

Here’s a list of some of the people that Bezos’ money has gone to.

Michael Waltz:

As a small business owner I have created hundreds of jobs and know first-hand the benefits of President Trump’s tax relief and de-regulation...

I have carried a rifle and a pistol for most of my adult life, and fired both in defense of every American and myself...

I’m a strong supporter of the right to life. I believe we must defend life at every stage and protect the most vulnerable members of our society.

Dan Crenshaw:

I support the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. As Democrats make false accusations about Republican policies, we must stick to free-market principles and lay out the FACTS…

I will always fight for 2nd Amendment rights. Democrats who don’t understand how guns even work continue to propose frivolous and ineffective gun-control legislation in Congress. We cannot allow the Leftists to set the terms of the gun rights debate in this country…

From Berkeley to Boston, leftist agitators are trying to “enforce political correctness by shutting down speeches that they disagree with. Even some liberal commentators are finding this problematic and have called them out for their anti-American ways. College should be a place for the free and open exchange of ideas, not a place where groupthink and political correctness are enforced, and anti-conservative thugs reign supreme.

It makes sense that Jeff Bezos would give $10 million to goofballs like these guys, because that $10 million is insignificant to what he’s saved with the 2017 Tax Cut Jobs Act. These candidates should maybe look into basic economics. Like, if you increase government spending but decrease the revenue. You’re going to increase the national debt, but they are Republicans and so their job is to do what’s best for corporations, and the rich.

Another thing that Republicans could care little about is workers, and Bezos is no different.

In Allentown, Pennsylvania, there is an Amazon warehouse. 2011 was a rough time for workers in that factory, or temporary workers, describing them more accurately.

This time period was reported on by the New York Times:

A warehouse employee contacted the Occupational Safety and Health Administration on June 2 to report that the heat index in the warehouse had reached 102 degrees, and that 15 workers had collapsed. The employee also said workers who were sent home because of the heat received disciplinary points.

A doctor was having so many Amazon worker’s as patients for heat stroke, that they felt the needed to report to the OSHA about “an unsafe environment,” at the Amazon warehouse.

May of 2011 was particularly bad for workers:

So many ambulances responded to medical assistance calls at the warehouse during a heat wave in May, the paper said, that the retailer paid Cetronia Ambulance Corps to have paramedics and ambulances stationed outside the warehouse during several days of excess heat over the summer. About 15 people were taken to hospitals, while 20 or 30 more were treated right there, the ambulance chief told The Call (local newspaper).

A man who doesn’t want to pay taxes, hoard as much money as possible, and try and take over the world. Yep, Republican...
