The corruption has been rather transparent when politicians go from public office straight to being a lobbyist, and unbelievably, the corruption is somehow getting more transparent and lazier.
Sanctions have been lifted on three companies controlled by Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska, who not only has ties to the Russian state, but also has close ties to Trump's campaign chairman Paul Manafort.
Energy company EuroSibEnergo, aluminum company UC Rusal, and Rusal's parent company EN+ Group, were the three companies that had sanctions lifted after only enduring 10 months of them.
EN+ Group released a bios in which they announced that the company had seven new directors, one of them was Christopher Bancroft Burnham.
The bios of Burnham reads:
With a distinguished career in government, diplomacy, banking, and private equity, Mr. Burnham is the Chairman and CEO of Cambridge Global Capital LLC. Mr. Burnham is a globally recognised expert in the implementation of accountability and transparency, and the implementation of best practice in government, corporations, and inter-governmental organisations, having served as Under Secretary General for Management of the United Nations and Under Secretary of State for Management (acting). Mr. Burnham is a former Vice Chairman at Deutsche Bank Asset Management and co-founded and led Deutsche Bank’s direct private equity group, RREEF Capital Partners. Mr. Burnham is also a former Assistant Secretary of State for Resource Management and Chief Financial Officer of the U.S. Department of State.
As Quartz points out, Burnham, "worked alongside Trump’s current national security adviser John Bolton] and Under Secretary of State for Management (acting)."
Quartz also points something else out that En+ Group left out about Burnham.
Quartz: "The En+ release makes no mention of one other notable position Burnham also held: member of Donald Trump’s presidential transition team."
So it makes sense that Rep. Lloyd Doggett (D-TX), would tell Quartz, "the Trump Administration is working seven days a week with favoritism for Russia."
David Pakman also made a comment that made sense when he tweets, "Nothing to see here, folks."
These people aren't even trying to hide it anymore...
