Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi wrote Trump a letter yesterday, asking him to do his State of the Union speech once the government shutdown ends, due to security concerns.
This caused Rep. Steve Scalise to tweet his dislike of Pelosi's decision:
First of all, there are some security concerns:
Second of all, it has been noted that Donald Trump was planning to use the State of the Union as a platform to be a partisan with intent to divide us further with a speech that was going to be written by White House aide Stephen Miller.
Third of all, it only took Trump 24 hours to make Scalise's tweet look fucking stupid.
In true man-baby fashion, Trump wrote a response letter to Pelosi.
Trump's response via Honest Nonsense:
"'Due to the Shutdown, I am sorry to inform you that your trip to Brussels, Egypt, and Afghanistan has been postponed,' Trump wrote in a response letter to the Speaker of the House. 'We will reschedule this seven-day excursion when the Shutdown is over.'"
Trump's tough on people going to Afghanistan, but you won't see him going there anytime soon.
Former Secretary of State, John Kerry, pointed out that the two are not even close to being the same thing:
What Steve Scalise said was absurd.
With the events of the last few days, the last person who should be talking about people "obstructing" is a member of the GOP.
