On his Sep. 28, radio show, Sean Hannity discussed the idea of a one week delay to vote on Kavanaugh would mean that the Democrats would have time to find "another 15 people" to be their operatives.
His remarks transcribed by Media Matters:
SEAN HANNITY (HOST): What happened today is the Senate Judiciary Committee, they did vote to advance Brett Kavanaugh's Supreme Court nomination to the full Senate, but not after a lot of theatrics and drama by [Sen.] Jeff Snowflake, and then apparently he, then now joined by [Sen.] Lisa Murkowski, he now joined -- she now joined by [Sen.] Joe Manchin, and now it goes on. They want a one week delay. "We don't want -- we're going to advance it to the Senate, the full Senate, but we want to see what happens. So I guess at this point, unless other people come out, that it's going to be another week, and what they're asking for is that the Senate have an FBI investigation. Now let me go through in detail why this is absolutely a bogus move on their part. It's just important -- facts matter in particular cases here. Now you got to remember, if you review the charges of Professor Ford, her allegations were made back in July. Now we need one more week, why so another 15 people can be brought up by Democratic operatives? Is Sen. [Dianne] Feinstein getting attorneys for somebody else and not telling us about it?
He must have some insider information that he would know the specific number of "operatives" that the Democrats would have. It's amazing that all you have to do to be a rightwing pundit is to make shit up, and make the left look bad with fake information. His audience doesn't need evidence or anyone to come forward like Dr. Ford. Hannity said it, and therefore, it is true.
He was not done that day of saying insane shit.
A short transcript between Sean Hannity, and guest Jonathan Gilliam, noted by Media Matters, in which Hannity's guest says the "deep state" will "get involved" in the investigation of Kavanaugh being accused of sexual harassment:
SEAN HANNITY (HOST): Commenting about Jeff Flake and his antics from earlier today, Jonathan we'll start with you.
JONATHAN GILLIAM: Well you know, this is one thing that does bother me, Sean, and nobody is really talking about this yet, is that if this is handed over back to the FBI, the fact is that Flake is the one saying that this should occur.
We do still have a realistic expectation that the deep state is part of the FBI, and at the level that this is at, if it's handed back to the FBI, my worry is that actually somebody will create something that is fictitious, that is in the FBI. It's not like they haven't done that in the past three years.
So, I also think that that's something that should be considered. What's been presented so far is there's no evidence that they can prove anything, I think there's been enough testimony where they, the Judge Kavanaugh can be confirmed, and if it goes back, there's a chance of that, but I hate to say it, but there's a chance the deep state can get involved in this.
HANNITY: Well, it's scary. Last word.
Like God, you don't have to prove where the "deep state" is, because it's everywhere.
