As I discussed a little in Episode 2 of the podcast, the right going at Peter Strzok is the true witch hunt. Trump tweeted recently “How can the Rigged Witch Hunt proceed when it was started, influenced and worked on, for an extended period of time, by former FBI Agent/Lover Peter Strzok? Read his hate filled and totally biased Emails and the answer is clear!”
First of all, Strzok’s text messages with Lisa Page did have bias, but why wouldn’t they? Why wouldn’t two reasonable people be upset that a man running for president was insulting a family of someone who died in service for this country and his family? Why wouldn’t people be who are looking into a campaign that might be in bed with a foreign government think, "fuck this asshole"? Why wouldn’t reasonable have a bias against a person who has clear contempt for democracy. Wanting to fire Robert Mueller and having fired James Comey, because of “this Russian thing.”
Secondly, as I have written about and talked about (far smarter people have done this work, I’m just parroting them, oh wait, it’s dumbass Don Jr. I got his emails from, and he gave them to you too!) Donald Trump Jr. released emails between he and Rob Goldstone, and sent them to Jared Kushner and Paul Manafort. This isn’t a witch hunt.
Peter Strzok could’ve done to Trump what Comey did to Hillary. Strzok could’ve been biased in a way that would’ve ruined Trump’s chances to win, but was incredibly professional, especially in context of being someone who did not like Donald Trump. Even if the investigation was a witch hunt, the idea the FBI is investigating his campaign for colluding with Russia, could’ve quite possibly ruined his chances.
I would say that Trump’s tweet was being highly disingenuous, but the reality is that Trump is stupid enough to not understand how Strzok could’ve fucked Trump in the ass with a spiked dildo (and goddamn I wish he did). “He was one gear in a big machine,” a former FBI agent described Peter Strzok. “If he really wanted to ‘stop’ Trump before the election, why not leak the Russia investigation?”
It’s common sense to see what’s happening here. Here in the United States, Republicans throw feces at Peter Strzok, trying to discredit Russian influence in the Trump campaign. Across the pond in Brussels, Trump throws feces at the NATO meetings. I have plenty of disagreements with U.S. foreign policy, NATO, and ways the United States got others to join. But countries of eastern Europe have a history, and they don’t want to take orders from Russia. Trump getting America out of NATO could have a negative impact on these countries.
Unfortunately, America has more and more people like Paul Begley, by the day. Where the “deep state” is taking the nation, and that Peter Strozk is doing what a person in the “illuminate” would do. Paul Begley is a nut case. He says the illuminate has a “demonically-charged biblical beast,” and it’s called the “deep state.”
