Back on December 4, 2018, Donald Trump said he was "a Tariff Man," and then went about showing that he didn't understand how tariffs work.
First of all, "make America rich again," is absurd if you consider the fact that the United States is the the wealthiest country in the world:
Second of all, the tweet clearly showed that Donald Trump didn't understand how tariffs work.
Tariffs are an increase in the prices of a goods that are imported, and is paid by the consumer.
The idea that a president would start a trade war and not know how tariffs work would be scary enough, but Donald Trump's tweet this morning about tariffs shows he still doesn't understand how they work:
Either no one has told him because Donald Trump won't listen, or someone did and he still didn't listen. Nonetheless, either answer is terrifying.
