Thank You For Your Honesty, You Bigoted GOP Representative

The reality of Trump and his supporters wanting a wall is to feed their xenophobic needs.

In the meantime, ICE is helping the private prison system make bank while exploiting labor:

Furthermore, two immigrant children have died while in U.S. Customs and Border Protection, in the month of December.

Congressman Ted Lieu noted on Twitter that during a House Judiciary hearing, Secretary of Department of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen couldn't, or wouldn't explain, as to why two immigrant children have died while in the custody of the U.S. government:

Republican Congressmen Peter King (R-NY), does not share the same sentiments that his counterpart Ted Lieu views the situation that two children have died while in the hands of the government.

Instead of wondering how it is that two immigrant children could've died in these circumstances, the GOP representative might as well have said he didn't give a shit, because that is basically what he said.

While appearing on Fox News, the Congressmen said that because "hundreds of thousands" of immigrants have been in U.S. custody and that he thinks "these are the only two children that have died," he thinks people should be "reluctant" to pile on ICE.

And two double down on his indifference to their deaths, he compared it to what happens "in housing projects across the country"

The congressmen while on Fox News:

I think it’s wrong to be piling on here and somehow blaming ICE. They’ve had hundreds of thousands of people that they had custody of over the years, and I think these are the only two children that have died, certainly in recent memory. So, considering all of that, considering what does happen in housing projects across the country, I think ICE has an excellent record and I’d be reluctant to be doing any piling on here right now, or trying to make political points with this.

This tweet pretty much sums up what the congressman said:

I'll give the congressman credit that he's willing to be more honest about his thoughts towards people of color than his fellow Republicans, and conservatives.
