On Tuesday, September 4, came news from journalist Bob Woodward’s new book Fear. Woodward becomes the second journalist to have gotten inside the White House, and to relay news that does not speak well of Trump, and his administration.
Michael Wolff got into the Trump White house, according to Bloomberg’s Jennifer Jacobs:
Wolff’s entry began with Trump himself, who phoned the author in early February to compliment him on a CNN appearance in which Wolff criticized media coverage of the new president.
Wolff told Trump during the call that he wanted to write a book on the president’s first 100 days in office. Many people want to write books about me, Trump replied-talk to my staff. Aides Kellyanne Conway and Hope Hicks listened to Wolff’s pitch in a West Wing meeting the next day, but were noncommittal.
Wolff conducted himself with assurance on his visits to the West Wing, playing up his relationship with Trump. Officials recall Wolff telling him he’d known Trump a long time and that the president called him “the best.”
Michael Wolff used his own sociopathic skills to trick Trump, by using Trump’s sociopathic-narcissistic-childlike-ego against himself.
Bob Woodward is not Michael Wolff, and so some of the revelations from his book carries different weight than Michael Wolff.
“It’s just another bad book,” Donald Trump told the Daily Caller, of Woodward’s book. Woodward “has a a lot of credibility problems,” added Trump. Who are you going to believe? Bob Woodward, or Trump and anyone from his administration?
Aside from describing Donald Trump as “an idiot.” White House Chief of Staff John Kelly went further, saying of what it’s like working for Donald Trump, “It’s pointless to try to convince him of anything. He’s gone off the rails. We’re in Crazytown. I don’t even know why any of us are here. This is the worst job I’ve ever had.”
According to Woodward’s work, Trump said Jeff Sessions was “mentally retarded,” and “couldn’t even be a one-person country lawyer down in Alabama.” That’s a smart thing to say as a Republican.
September 4, was just a teaser for the reality television-horror show, that is the Donald Trump presidency. And it took just one fucking day.
An anonymous op-ed was ran in the New York Times today that was supposedly written by a senior official in the White House.
Trump made remarks to the New York Times op-ed during an event with American sheriffs at the White House.
“So if the failing New York Times has an anonymous editorial-can you believe it? Meaning gutless, a gutless editorial, “ exclaimed Trump.
Don’t fear, those within Trump’s administration got shit under control:
The erratic behavior would be more concerning if it weren’t for unsung heroes in and around the White House. Some of his aides have been cast as villains by the media. But in private, they have gone to great lengths to keep bad decisions contained to the West Wing, though they are clearly not always successful.
It may be cold comfort in this chaotic era, but Americans should know that there are adults in the room. We fully recognize what is happening. And we are trying to do what’s right even when Donald Trump won’t.
The result is a two-track presidency.
Trump tweeted in reaction to this op-ed:
Does the so-called “Senior Administration Official” really exist, or is it just the Failing New York Times with another phony source? If the GUTLESS anonymous person does indeed exist, the Times must, for National Security purposes, turn him/her over to government at once!
Former Secretary of State John Kerry appeared on the “Late Show” with Stephen Colbert. Of learning about the New York Times op-ed, “this scares the hell out of me,” Kerry told Colbert. For Kerry, this means “we don’t have a president. We have a president who is there, but he is not capable of doing the job or living up to the responsibilities.”
That’s not true John. Donald Trump is draining the swamp of people he hired….
Furthermore, to the one who wrote the op-ed, Trump’s conservative is modern conservatism…
