Donald Trump announced on twitter that there has been an immigration and asylum deal between the United States and Mexico.
"Migrants at the Southern Border will not be allowed into the United States until their claims are individually approved in court. We only will allow those who come into our Country legally. Other than that our very strong policy is Catch and Detain. No “Releasing” into the U.S." Tweeted Donald Trump.
A few minutes later, Trump tweeted more: "All will stay in Mexico. If for any reason it becomes necessary, we will CLOSE our Southern Border. There is no way that the United States will, after decades of abuse, put up with this costly and dangerous situation anymore!"
There is just one problem with Trump's tweets. The deal he is talking about, the incoming Mexican government has denied that an immigration deal has been made with the Trump administration.
"No agreement of any kind exists between Mexico's future federal government and the United States of America," said the incoming Mexican government in a statement.
"In other words," writes Bill Palmer. "Donald Trump is so desperate for a victory, he simply made one up - and now he's being called out on it by his imaginary partner."
