Donald Trump lies at such an extent that he's the walking embodiment of Hannah Arendt's The Origins of Totalitarianism, but you know that he's a sociopath because he can so easily lie about something that can be so easily proven.
Yesterday, Trump said that the Democrats own the government shutdown, even though there is video and audio footage of saying he would shutdown the government.
Today, Trump is wondering, "Why is Nancy Pelosi getting paid when people who are working are not?"
They're not getting paid because of you, you fucking asshole.
This headline shows how he's a cynical sociopath:
The federal employees who aren't getting paid now due to Trump's shutdown was not going to get pay raises because of Trump, but once the government open's his buddies are going to get a pay raise:
Furthermore, Donald Trump did this:
The workers known as the "Polish Brigade," were not only working without pay, but working in conditions that showed how little Trump cares for the lives of others.
In journalist David Cay Johnston's first Trump book The Making of Donald Trump, he wrote a chapter on the story of Trump and the undocumented workers.
According to a labor fixer who Trump called when "he was having difficulties" with the Polish workers who were tired of not getting paid.
"To Sullivan (the labor fixer), only greed and an utter lack of regard for human life would allow Trump to let the Polish Brigade work without hard hats or the facemarks they needed to keep asbestos from entering their lungs," wrote David Cay Johnston, who then quoted Sullivan who told Johnston, "Men were stripping electric wires with their bare hands."
Trump's willingness to lie knows no bounds, and it's why with him and his supporters you know that we have a totalitarian movement because a Democracy can only properly function when the citizenry is informed and the truth is acknowledged.
Instead, we have millions of assholes like this:
