All president's make mistakes, whether they are good or bad president's. President George W. Bush got shit for when he was reading children books to young children, he was received the news that 9/11 was underway, but went on reading a book.
For President Obama, it was him giving a press conference about United States torture programs, in which he admitted the CIA had "tortured some folks."
But rare do you see a President make mistakes as petty as those of Donald Trump.
For Trump, he didn't care that Jewish Leaders in Pittsburg told him not to come until he denounced white nationalism.
For Trump, he didn't care that politicians on both side of the isle didn't want to go to Pittsburg with him, for they were listening to the requests of the Pittsburg.
For Trump, he didn't care that Mayor of Pittsburg pleaded for him not come, based on logistical worries for people's safety.
Trump went to Pittsburg for himself, and it's why he sent out this tweet after his visit:
Trump made "that sad & solemn day" about himself when he showed up, and when he sent this tweet. To make this situation about him is repugnant, but it is not at all shocking.
The protests are because our President promotes and uses hate speech, and his hate speech resulted in a nut case believing him that there is an "invasion" being aided by Jews like George Soros. For Trump, he chose not to listen, because he cannot listen. He is a man completely incapable of introspection. Asking Trump to be introspective, is like asking a dog to stop licking his balls.
