Trump Pours Salt On The Wound Of Federal Employees

Donald Trump is not only using Federal employees lives as a pawn in his political agenda during his government shutdown, but he even had the audacity to say that he was purposely hurting Federal workers who were Democrats.

While Federal employees go unpaid during the government shutdown, the Trump administration suggested that Federal employees should try to pay their landlords via manual labor in response to their inability to pay through money.

Trump using Federal workers as "political pawns" is "absolution disgusting."

Unfortunately, Trump is now pouring salt on the wound.

CNN reported that Trump has issued an executive order that would free pay for Federal workers in 2019.

"We must aim efforts to put our Nation on a fiscally sustainable course, and Federal agency budgets cannot sustain such increases," wrote Trump.

The Center of American Progress (CAP) has pointed out that the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA), "is substantially increasing federal deficits-and will for years to come."

As noted by the CAP, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) stated that the TCJA will increase the federal deficit by roughly $1.9 trillion over 10 years.

"If core features of the law are extended," writes the CAP. "The TCJA would increase deficits by another $650 billion over 10 years and add roughly $3 trillion to deficits over the second decade after enactment."

Not only is his excuse for not giving Federal workers raises bullshit, but as VoteVets notes, a third of those Federal workers are veterans:
