I feel like a broken record, but I feel it's important to type to the universe that to be a Trump supporter you have to be a member of a cult.

This is why when Trump says something incredibly stupid, his supporters praise it as something profound.

"America is governed by Americans. We reject the ideology of globalism, and we embrace the doctrine of patriotism," said Trump during his speech at the UN.

That statement was profoundly stupid, because, DUH!!!! FUCKING DUH!!!!! Fucking duh that "America is governed by Americans," because that's how it's always been.

During the speech Trump announced that the United States would leave the Human Rights Council and the International Criminal Court because, "We will never surrender America's sovereignty to an unelected, unaccountable, global bureaucracy."

The ignorance and hypocrisy of that quote is breathtaking, but Trump supporters don't have the time to do research into the last 60 years of U.S. foreign policy.

Like Turning Point USA director of urban engagement Candace Owens, who once said that she believed that "black people are enslaving themselves to emotion," tweeted her praise:

Despite saying America by Americans, and keeping our sovereignty. Trump went on to say this about Venezuela (underlined emphasis are mine:

Currently, we are witnessing a human tragedy, as an example, in Venezuela. More than 2 million people have fled the anguish inflicted by the socialist Maduro regime and its Cuban sponsors.

Not long ago,(1) Venezuela was one of the richest countries on Earth. Today, socialism has bankrupted the oil-rich nation and driven its people into abject poverty.

Virtually everywhere socialism or communism has been tried, it has produced suffering, corruption, and decay. (2) Socialism’s thirst for power leads to expansion, incursion, and oppression. All nations of the world should resist socialism and the misery that it brings to everyone.

In that spirit, we ask the nations gathered here to join us in calling for the restoration of democracy in Venezuela. (3) Today, we are announcing additional sanctions against the repressive regime, targeting Maduro’s inner circle and close advisors.

(4) We are grateful for all the work the United Nations does around the world to help people build better lives for themselves and their families.

1. If even Venezuela was one of the richest countries before. It only benefited the elite, which is why Chavez's populism was popular among the working class and poor. You would think that Trump would understand this, but we're talking about Trump.

Venezuela is dependent upon oil exports for the economy. Whatever is second to oil, doesn't even come close enough worth mentioning. The problem for Venezuela is that they need the price of oil to be higher than it has been for the last ten years or so, in order to export oil. So even if they were a capitalist country they would still be suffering, because the engine that keeps their economy running is sitting in idle, rusting away.

Furthermore, the CATO Institute (A rightwing pro-capitalism institution) conduct a freedom index, where they look at all the variables of a society and decide who is the most free country. From economics to how a citizen is treated by the rule of all.

The United States was ranked 17th, and most of those before the U.S. are what would be considered socialist countries. Switzerland, New Zealand, Australia (universal healthcare), Finland, Norway, Denmark, Netherlands. The difference between those countries and Venezuela is the decades of clandestine influence Venezuelan's have had to deal with, due to the United States.

2. Everything he said is exactly what one could say about capitalism. Here's one but many examples I could use before I go to three: the Wounded Knee Massacre.

3. America cannot be governed by an "unelected, unaccountable, global bureaucracy," but others can be.

4. I thought he asked us to reject globalism? The UN going around the world to help people can only be done through globalism. As a Bernie Sanders supporter, my idea of globalism is far different that the one given to us by the Bill Clinton administration, but we need a world where local governments cooperate with other countries. Especially, as the impacts of climate change increases.

But this kind of shit is too much for Trump supporters to think about, so they praised his brainless-common sense statement as though the words came from Confucius:
