Although it is repetitive to say that Donald Trump is a repugnant human being, nonetheless, it's always worth the time to remind people that this is so.
In the wake of two immigrant children dying while in custody of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and the fact that Trump's immigration policies have resulted in private prisons raking in $807 million dollars from tax payers while also having incarcerated immigrants working for as littles as a $1 dollar a day.
Donald Trump sent out two tweets about the death of two immigrant children that not only did he not accept responsibility for mistakes made by his administration, but he lied incoherently (again):
I could discuss how incomprehensible his tweets were, but others have said it before me, like journalist Mehdi Hasan:
Or journalist Natalie Shure:
Congressman Ted Lieu mocked Trump, reminding him that Democrats are going to be taking over the House soon, and that there will be hearings about the deaths of the immigrant children:
The best response I saw was by White House reporter Brian J. Karem, who compared Trump's response to the immigrant children's deaths, and his reaction to the death of Jamal Khashoggi:
It's rather stupefying that a president is doing this, but it's not stupefying for Donald Trump.
Corruption is what defines Trump's presidency, and it's why he'll blame fellow Americans for wrongdoing than he will of a foreign government who killed a United States citizen.
That foreign government is putting money in his pocket.... It's that simple...
