Why Help War Veterans, When We Could Celebrate Me Instead

Back in July, it was reported that there was to be a military parade in Washington D.C. The only reason this parade was going to occur, was to pet Trump’s ego, a monster more ferocious than that from the monster in AMC’s ‘The Terror.’ Originally, the cost of this parade was presented as costing $12 million dollars. Before I go any further, and bring up the cost of this parade, it was an idea to benefit a wanna-be dictator. At least Mao and Ho Chi Minh put their necks on the line. Hell, Ho Chi Minh was kinder to John McCain than Donald Trump.

In July the story was that the parade would cost $12 million dollars, and it was compared to the U.S. military exercises with the South Korean’s that would’ve cost $14 million dollars. By not doing these military exercises, Trump tweeted “We save a fortune by not doing war games, as long as we (U.S. and North Korea) are negotiating in good-which both sides are!”

For Trump, a supposed mega-billionaire and conservative, you could say that $14 million is a lot of money for the Federal government to spend. What a minute, he want’s a military parade, but $2 million is a lot of money, and $2 million less than what the parade was going to cost. Until that actually wasn’t the cost.

According to a CNBC report, the actual cost of the parade would’ve been $80 million more than the original cost:

The $92 million cost estimate includes security, transportation of parade assets, aircraft, as well as temporary duty for troops. The official also noted that while the size and scope of the military parade can still shift, the plans currently include approximately eight tanks, as well as other armored vehicles, including Bradleys, Strykers and M113s.

For those who aren’t good at math, including myself, that is 666 percent more than the original estimated cost for the parade. Don’t worry though, the parade is not going to happen and Trump himself is willing to deny his ego of what it wants by sending two tweets, stating:

The local politicians who run Washington, D.C. (poorly) know a windfall when they see it. When asked to give us a price for holding a great celebratory military parade, they wanted a number so ridiculously high that I cancelled it. Never let someone hold you up! I will instead...

....attend the big parade already scheduled at Andrews Air Force Base on a different date, & go to the Paris parade, celebrating the end of the War, on November 11th. Maybe we will do something next year in D.C. when the cost comes WAY DOWN. Now we can buy some more jet fighters!

Oh who am I kidding? Trump sucks, so let’s just move past the fact that $92 million dollars means we’d get more jets. That doesn’t matter, because I don’t care. What I love is that Trump bitches about those who run D.C., for two reasons. One, Trump the deal maker, says that the “local politicians who run Washington” are better at doing what he said you should vote for him for. Second, the $92 million estimate came from the Pentagon.

Instead of using $92 million for an unnecessary jet, or an insane parade, why not use that money for military veterans? After all, whether you were doing so in a moment of honesty, or a moment of politic-saying that you’d invest money into veteran aide, is a slam dunk win-in bipartisan fashion. Trump isn’t good at that, and his supporters are even worse at thinking for themselves.

As of mid-2017, 345,000 thousand veterans are waiting for benefits, and another 300,000 are waiting for rulings on appeals that they have filed. Over 600,000 are asking “what the fuck?” Furthermore, their are 33,000 vacancies at the VA, because of a “mass exodus” of “knowledgeable and experienced personnel.”

Having said all that, I’m sure Trump is good at Nondisclosure Agreements-in order to hide his corrupt incompetency. Oh wait, he isn’t.

Trump campaign staffer, Jessica Denson, has sued the Trump campaign for harassment and discrimination. According to Denson’s claim, she was subjected to “severe and pervasive slander, aggravated harassment, attempted theft, cyberbullying, and sexual discrimination and harassment,” by former manager Camilo Sandoval and other staffers.

Trump’s response, and the response to Trump’s response, as noted by ‘Splinter’:

Trump’s attorneys responded to the lawsuit by requesting arbitration and asking for $1.5 million in damages from Denson for revealing information in filing the suit that they say was confidential under the nondisclosure agreement she signed.

But don’t worry. Camilo Sandoval works at the Department of Veteran Affairs, because Trump cares about the troops, and you continuing to live in the Jonestown-like hell that is his world.
